Cuyamaca College Women's Basketball is proud to announce that sophomore student-athlete Micyaah Flournoy has accepted a full-ride academic scholarship to San Diego State University.
A dedicated and disciplined leader on and off the court, Micyaah has exemplified what it means to be a true student-athlete. Maintaining a 3.5 GPA, she has consistently balanced the rigors of academics and athletics with humility, focus, and integrity.
"Micyaah is the definition of purpose-driven," said Head Coach Sa'de Wiley-Gatewood. "She's the type of student-athlete who leads by example quiet, steady, consistent, and committed to excellence. This scholarship is a direct reflection of the work she's put in every single day."
During her time at Cuyamaca, Micyaah became a respected presence in the program not just for her performance on the court, but for the grace and character she carried with her in every environment. Her scholarship to SDSU is more than an academic opportunity it's a celebration of her consistency, her perseverance, and her growth.
Micyaah will be walking the stage this June as part of Cuyamaca College's 47th graduating class closing one chapter and stepping boldly into the next.
Micyaah's story is a reminder that when you lead with purpose, excellence follows. She leaves a legacy of discipline, quiet strength, and faith-filled focus — and the Cuyamaca family couldn't be prouder.
Congratulations, Micyaah! Your next play begins now.
