The 2022 Men's Cross Country Team of Cuyamaca College improved on their 7th place SoCal Regional finish to cross the finishline in 6th at the State Championship. The team, being hampered by injury and illness, recovered at the right moment to get the best from each runner and propel themselves to a Top-10 finish in the state. Cuyamaca's Misqina Elias was the Coyotes's top runner finishing 16th overall out of the 176 starters that entered the race. Ataklty Gebru also improved on his conference results and returned to form in time for the state meet historic event held at the very popular Woodward Park located in the eastern section of the city of Fresno.
