Coyote Men poised and ready for SoCal Regional with 2nd place finish at PCAC

October 28, 2022 (Norco College)

The 2022 Men's Cuyamaca College Cross Country team cruised to an easy 2nd place team finish at the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference championships at Norco Collge, Norco. The event was unique and the first of its kind for the PCAC conference teams. Earlier in the season, it was decided (the conference championships) were to be moved to the Inland Empire Conference host school in the Los Angeles country. The championship would be a combined but scored seperately, dual conference championship and combine two the smallest conferences in the state allowing athletes to have a more competitive environment and competition.

Cuyamaca went into the meet as one of the team favorites, however two of the team's top athlete were still overcoming illness that would make it difficult for them to compete for top honors of the day. San Diego Mesa walked away with top team honors on the day, however all of the Cuyamaca men finished in the top 20 of all finishers. The top runner for the Coyotes on the day was Jose Arredondo finishing 6th place overall. The Coyotes are hopeful that they will back to full strength for the SoCal Regionals on November 4th in Bakersfield.
