Sophomore Spotlight: Manar Diab

Manar Diab #10, is joined by her mom Likaa Mohamad and her sisters Buraq and Zahraa.  Manar is a Middle Blocker that has been playing for the last 2 years. Prior to last year, Manar had never played volleyball before and she has progressed really well in such a short amount of time. She is also an incredibly talented crafter; she can crochet anything and everything and has donated her time and skills to create amazing things for the Dig Pink match and other events. Actually, she has created small things that she will be presenting to each of the sophomores today.  She is majoring in Early Childhood Education and plans on pursuing a career as a School Counselor. Manar plans to continue her education at Point Loma Nazarene University. Her favorite memory with her team is anytime she receives a compliment on her crochet items. A fun fact about Manar is she has a six-year-old pet chicken. Her advice to someone going to play collegiate volleyball is to enjoy your momentous honor. Manar's parting quote is "Hide the good you do, and make known the good done to you". Manar also received the California Community College Women's Volleyball Coaches Association's CCCWVA All-STATE ACADEMIC TEAM showing her amazing dedication to school and volleyball.
