New Look, New Result - Cuyamaca holds of 2022 Conference Champs Mira Costa

Rancho San Diego

The Cuyamaca College Men's Soccer team last faced the visiting team Mira Costa only to lose the PCAC Conference title. Debuting a new team look and new uniforms, the Coyotes held on to win an evenly matched 1-0 againt the Spartans. The match was the cliche 'see-saw' of attacks, defenses, missed opportunities and failed attempts. The game saw few shots on goal but both keepers kept control of their side of the pitch yelling out commands to their team. The only goal scored occured in the later minutes of the first half. For the teams, it generally was a physical game that the officials allowed. Only one yellow was issued the entire game, going to Mira Costa for a hard tackle. In both halves, only one-minute of extra time was added to the clock of each period. At the final whistle, Cuyamaca secured the win and their first win in conference play. Go Coyotes!
