The Vikings went head-to-head with the Cuyamaca Coyotes on Friday evening at the new KLAC facility and came out with a 1-1 tie. With the tie, the Vikings currently hold a 1-1-1 record.
The Coyotes were first on the board with a goal in the first half at the 30-minute mark. After the half, the Vikings were rejuvenated from the heat and fought back to score in the 82nd minute.
The Vikings made the Coyotes work with five shots on goal, but in the end, could not add another one to the board.
The Long Beach City College men's soccer team will return to the field on Tuesday, Sept. 6 at Cypress College at 3 p.m.
