Welcome and thank you for choosing Cuyamaca and Grossmont Community Colleges for the start of your athletic college experience. The men's and women's golf programs are quality athletic endeavors attended by students from both colleges.

I took the helm of both programs in 2015. As a PGA golf professional and former Division 1 coach (SDSU), I am proud to coach young men and women, in a sport they love, through this journey of golf and school. I will assist them beyond their first two years, helping them achieve an athletic scholarship for another two years of competition and to finish their education.

Our home course is Singing Hills Golf Resort at Sycuan, approximately ten minutes from Cuyamaca College. Both programs are run out of Cuyamaca College. We meet on Mondays and Wednesdays with competition scheduled on those days. The student-athlete will attend classes on Tuesday, Thursdays and Fridays, unless students have on-line classes.

Benefits of being a student-athlete are numerous - if a resident, two years of free tuition, priority registration, an athletic trainer, academic advisor who works with athletes only, and the opportunity to play top golf courses and travel throughout California.

Since 2015, the women's team has been ranked twice in the top five within the state for women's community college golf teams. In 2016 and 2017 the team finished 3rd and 5th respectively at State Championship (equal to the NCAA National Championship). In 2015 and 2019 several players advanced to the State Championship as individual participants. Several of the players received golf scholarships to Division 2 schools upon completion of their eligibility.  In 2016 and 2017, I was fortunate to receive Coach of the Year honors.

The Men's team has had some success. Since 2015 three players have qualified for post season play at Regional Championships with one player making it to State Championship and the others falling one stroke shy of qualifying.

Unfortunately, in the Spring of 2020, the men's program was suspended due to the Coronavirus.
