SAN MARCOS, CA (10/22/2024) -- The Palomar College women's soccer team displayed a dominant offensive performance in their 6-0 victory over Cuyamaca College. The Comets jumped out to an early lead, scoring three goals within the first ten minutes to set the tone for the match.
Ashley Clark opened the scoring in the 4th minute, converting an assist from Rebecca Mendoza. Just two minutes later, Emily Thompson found the back of the net off a pass from Nadia Shimasaki, and Naomi Allen followed with an unassisted goal in the 9th minute. Cameryn Clark added to the lead in the 22nd minute, scoring off an assist from Allen. Ashley Clark then notched her second goal in the 25th minute, set up by Thompson. Cameryn Clark capped off the scoring in the 65th minute with a goal assisted by her sister, Ashley.
Goalkeepers Audrey Arbello and Kaylee Cole shared duties in net, each playing one half and helping secure the clean sheet for the Comets.
With this decisive win, Palomar continues to make strides in conference play and showcases the depth and strength of their roster.
