Women's Cross Country Cruises to Conference Title

For the first time in almost 20 years, the Cuyamaca women's cross country team is celebrating a conference title, after a dominating performance at Guajome Park in the PCAC Championships.

Sophomore Alexia Thiros set the pace, covering the 5,000m track in 18:48.8. But she had plenty of company at the front, as the next three finishers -- Marlene Aranda, Courtney Clifford, and Annette Jiminez -- were all wearing Coyote blue. Kyley Inman filled the final scoring spot for Cuyamaca, crossing the line in 7th place.

Hannah Running, Hannah Lockmann, and Lelia Clay also clocked top-20 times, giving the Coyotes 8 of the first 20 finishers.
