In the men's 8,000-meter race at Golden Gate Park, sophomore Robert Marin was the first Coyote across the finish line. His time of 26:02.8 put him in 22nd place overall, while Alexia Thiros came in 23rd on the women's side. The sophomore covered the 6,000-meter course in a time of 23:04.5.
The Coyotes' next meet is the Coach Downey Cross Country Classic on Friday, September 29 at Morley Field. The women's 5k begins at 11 a.m., and the men's 4-mile starts at noon.
