Men's Track & Field Wins 2016 PCAC Title

Congratulations to the men's track & field team on their first-place finish in the 2016 Pacific Coast Athletic Conference championships.

The Coyotes posted a score of 257, with SD Mesa next at 230 followed by Southwestern (163) and San Bernardino Valley (136).

Jovann Letuli led the way, with a trifecta of wins in the discus, hammer, and shot put. Alex Templeton grabbed another first-place in the field, with a 6' 9.5" high jump. And on the track, Oscar Soto set the pace in the 800m while Tate Graham claimed the title at 10,000m and Dane Randolph won the 3,000m steeplechase.

Discus – Jovann Letuli – 166'6"

Shot Put – Jovann Letuli – 45' 2.5"

 

For the women, Sabrina Dozier also collected multiple wins in the throws as she set the mark in both discus and shot put. Celina Lepe paced the field in the 5,000m, while Kim Klarer secured the pole vault title by clearing a 8' 9.5"
