The Coyotes of Cuyamaca continue with their charge to be one of the top teams in the state with a 1-0 victory over College of the Desert. The excessively warm winds of Rancho San Diego played havoc with the shots on goal for both teams ending the first half unscored by either team although there were multiple opportunities to be had. Coach Brian Hiatt-Aleu gave an inspiring pep-talk to his team at the half and reminded them that playing the best teams in the state gives higher power points and 'iron sharpens iron'. The speech worked as the Coyotes came out with new vigor and attacked the Roadrunners defenses. Diego Garcia shot a blistering shot on goal that sled pass the keeper to draw first and only blood as the Coyotes held off any further attacks from COD to claim another victory for this mostly freshman team. Next up, one of the top ranked teams in the state, Irvine Valley College with there 4-2-0 record. Go Coyotes!
