Cuyamaca hosted Mira Costa in their first home game of the 2016-17 season. In a high-scoring -ontest, the Coyotes outscored Mira Costa 27-18 from the three-point line. The Coyotes led by one with less than a minute to play and held Mira Costa scoreless on their last three possessions, winning 82-76. Cuyamaca had three players score over 20 points -- Jon Irving (20 pts, 5 asts), Eric Patten (23 pts, 7 rebs) and Spencer Smith (22 pts, 9 rebs). Calvin Harris (5 asts) and Shai Stevenson (6asts) also contributed.
