The Coyotes lost to Barstow in the SD City Tournament Consolation Championship. The Coyotes led at halftime, 34-30, behind the scoring of Spencer Smith (21 pts) and good team defense. In the second half, the Coyotes' defense began to give up easy baskets.  Although Jon Irving (18 pts, 6 asts) and Tarik Downs (11 pts) were able to drive to the basket and score against Barstow's pressing defense, the Coyotes could not overcome the fact that five players would foul out of the game. Coyotes lose, 87-79.
