Leonard Allen dominated the painted area on Wednesday night and recorded his seventh double-double of the season with 23 points and a season-high 20 rebounds in the Knights' 93-71 home victory over Cuyamaca.
For the second consecutive game, Rico Falia came off the bench to score a season-high 19 points.
The Knights improved to 19-7 overall and 5-0 in the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference. They have won six straight and all five conference wins have come by an average of 33.2 points.
Allen and Falia scored 14 a piece in the first half to help turn a six-point lead midway through first period into a 45-27 halftime lead, a 31-7 run in the last 10:46.
City shot 53.1 percent in the first half and made 6-of-12 from three-point land, including 4-of-5 from Falia. The Knights held Cuyamaca to 29.4 percent.
Cuyamaca, led by Chase Parsons' 22 points, cut City's lead to 12 with 14:59 remaining in the second half, but that was the closest the Coyotes would ever get.
The Knights kept adding to their lead and eventually went ahead by as many as 25 points late in the game.
Alex Wilbourn had 15 points, five rebounds, and three blocks. Taylor Nelson was the fourth Knight to score in double figures with 11 points.
The Knights outscored Cuyamaca, 48-20, on points in the paint. City won the rebound battle, 60-27, including 22-13 on offensive rebounds which led to a 21-12 advantage on second chance points.
City will have a chance to clinch at least a share of the PCAC South in the final regular season home game on Friday at 5:00 p.m. against Mesa. Should the Knights clinch, it would be the fifth time since Head Coach Mitch Charlens took over in 2004-05 that they win the conference championship.
One more victory this season would also give Charlens a third consecutive 20-win season, and the fourth in the last five years.
